What we do

Our scope includes: influencing Ilkley’s Neighbourhood Plan; helping residents and businesses reduce the climate impact of their homes/ workplaces, travel and purchasing choices; improving food waste regimes; promoting renewable energy projects; co-ordinating with initiatives by other groups on water, wildlife, biodiversity, heritage and social inclusion.

How we are organised

In spring 2020 we applied for charitable status with the Charity Commission and we successfully became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation  – a CIO.

We are using the association model of the constitution which means that members having voting rights – not just the trustees.  In autumn 2020 we will have a special general meeting  at which members can ratify the new constitution and appoint the trustees.

Our charity number is 1189801

Our Workgroups are where we get things done.  You can view these under the Workgroups menu.
