Solar Panel Discount Scheme

Following discussions with our Energy Group, Leeds-Solar have agreed to offer a discount on solar-panel installation for CAI members and recently Addingham Environment Group.  By arranging a number of surveys and installations at a similar time and locality Leeds-Solar are able to reduce their costs which they are pleased to pass on to customers.

Opposite is a list of steps you need to go through to obtain a firm quote.

  • Several of our members who have had installations completed by them are pleased with their work

Quotation Process

  • email Leeds-Solar to let them know you would like a quote using the address quotes@leeds-solar.co.uk  . Mention that you are a member of Climate Action Ilkley or Addingham Environment Group. Include your name and address and the timescales you are thinking about and if you know it your annual electricity consumption either in kWh or £.  Say whether you have a combi boiler or hot water tank system.  If the latter they can quote for an iBoost system which provides water from the solar panels.  Please copy us via solarpanels@climateactionilkley.org.uk so we can keep track of who is taking part.

  • Leeds-Solar will give an outline quote. They can do this by viewing your house via Google Earth.  This enables them to see the orientation of your house and how big your roof is.  This isn’t a firm quote, it is subject to an on-site survey.

  • If you are happy with the online quote they will arrange a time to visit your property for a physical survey. They aim to survey up to six properties on a single day so try to be flexible with the date. They won’t need to go on to your roof but they may need to access your internal roof space. They will discuss with you the best place for the inverter box and battery if you are having one.

  • If you decide to go ahead with their firm quote they will arrange a convenient date with you. An installation is usually completed in a single day but if unexpected issues arise may go over to a second day.

  • Leeds Solar have a set of Covid-19 staff precautions for working together and in your home. They will be happy to send you a copy if you wish.
