Dividing food choices into the good, the bad and the ugly is not an exact science of course and experts will often disagree. We have taken a broad view and in addition to carbon emissions we have included factors like slave labour, irrigation and water loss, rain forest destruction, sustainability of fish stocks, etc.
If some of us stop eating food in the Ugly category and eat less of the Bad we feel we have achieved something.
