Our Place by Mark Cocker

This book should be read by anyone who is interested in the natural world. I have learnt so much about nature conservation from reading this book and have a much better understanding of the predicament wildlife in Britain is facing. Mark Cocker writes clearly and passionately about the shocking events that have led us to losing so many precious creatures and places. The last chapter explaining what now needs to be done makes so much sense, and I only wish that everyone in DEFRA could read this book and feel moved to implement Mark’s suggestions. This book has shone a light into some very dark places. One of the most impressive books I have ever read.
