Our aim is to encourage you to take an interest in trees.
We hope you will enjoy walking our trail and learning how to identify the different species.
The Ilkley Tree Trail has been supported by Climate Action Ilkley, Wharfedale Naturalists and the Manor House.
The trail map is on the back cover of the booklet. If you follow the trail on your phone or tablet rather than the printed booklet we suggest you print a copy of the map to use in conjunction with your phone.
And the map and index to trees as a single page here MapandIndex
The Trail runs through the areas maintained by the Friends of Ilkley Riverside Parks. To learn more about them and the work they do visit their website
November 1st Update
As the leaves fall from the trees this version of the Ilkley Tree Trail becomes less relevant. The Grove Bookshop has a few copies left but we will not be re-stocking them until next Spring.
Rather than leave an empty few months for tree enthusiasts the Tree Trail team is working on a Trees in Winter Trail which focuses on interesting features that are still visible during the Winter months. For example, where to see the horseshoe on a horse chestnut. The publication date is likely to be in January 2021.
